По его словам, Азербайджан оперативно отреагировал на произошедшее и сразу начал контакты с иранской стороной.
«Были многочисленные контакты с иранской стороной. Был телефонный звонок президента Исламской Республики Иран президенту Азербайджана. У меня также состоялся телефонный разговор с министром иностранных дел Ирана. Позиция иранской стороны заключается в том, что эти дроны не были запущены с территории Ирана и речь идёт о провокации третьих стран. Они пообещали Азербайджану провести серьёзное расследование этого вопроса. На текущем этапе ситуация такова», — отметил глава МИД.
