🇨🇳 China Posts Record Monthly Export Value in April
China's export value reached $359.44 billion in April — a monthly record — as the country posted 14.1% year-on-year growth, well above market forecasts, despite elevated energy and shipping costs tied to the Strait of Hormuz crisis during the US-Israeli war in Iran.
The Hormuz disruption has driven up freight and energy costs globally, creating headwinds for export-dependent economies. China's ability to sustain — and set records in — outbound shipment value under these conditions points to structural export momentum that has so far absorbed the cost pressures.
The data suggests China's export base has not materially contracted despite simultaneous tariff pressure from the US and rising logistics costs from Middle East instability.

Каспийское море стало критически важным торговым и военным маршрутом снабжения для Ирана, поскольку Тегеран ищет альтернативы Ормузскому проливу на фоне военно-морской блокады США, сообщает издание.
Согласно сообщению, Россия поставляет в Иран коммерческие товары и компоненты для беспилотников через этот закрытый для моря водный путь, помогая Тегерану пополнять военные запасы и поддерживать импорт, нарушенный напряженностью вокруг Ормузского пролива.
Американские официальные лица сообщили газете, что Россия поставляет детали для беспилотников, чтобы помочь Ирану восстановить свои возможности после потери большей части своего арсенала беспилотников в недавних боевых действиях. Иранские официальные лица также заявили, что импорт продовольствия, включая пшеницу, кукурузу и растительное масло, все чаще перенаправляется через порты Каспийского моря.
В отличие от Ормузского пролива, Каспийское море недоступно для США в военном отношении, поскольку доступ к нему имеют только пять граничащих государств, что делает его привлекательным маршрутом для обхода санкций и военных перебросок, говорится в сообщении.

🇳🇬 Boko Haram kills 18 loggers in Nigeria's Borno state
Boko Haram fighters on motorcycles rounded up a group of loggers outside the village of Abaram in the Bama district of Borno state on Wednesday, May 7, and opened fire on them. Militia member Ibrahim Liman told AFP that 11 bodies were recovered on Wednesday and 7 more on Thursday, bringing the total to 18 killed. Seven of the victims had fled into the bush and were pursued and shot by the assailants, complicating recovery efforts.
Boko Haram and its rival splinter group ISWAP have increasingly targeted civilians including loggers, farmers, and fishermen in the region, accusing them of spying for the military. Many of the victims were displaced persons who turned to logging to earn money following the reduction of international humanitarian aid.

"Мы не будем с ними работать. Мы нашли замену и у себя, и в дружественных странах", - сказал Лихачев.
По его словам, Германия из-за отказа от атомной энергетики потеряла свою роль на глобальном рынке. "И, к сожалению, еще и ухудшили непотребным поведением в качестве наших поставщиков", - отметил глава "Росатома".
"Росатом" в своих проектах в РФ и за рубежом теперь ориентируется исключительно на решения, не связанные с Siemens, заявил Лихачев.
В октябре 2024 г. вице-премьер РФ Александр Новак сообщал, что Россия и Турция оценивают влияние ситуации с непоставкой Siemens оборудования для АЭС "Аккую" на общий график реализации проекта.
