❗️Russian assassin planned to assassinate top Ukrainian Navy official by May 9
According to the plan of Russian special services, the assassination of the officer was to take place on May 9 in order to create a favorable information background for the Kremlin to celebrate "Victory Day".
As the investigation established, the assassin planned to ambush the Ukrainian serviceman near his residence and was going to shoot him. The attacker was supposed to open fire when the officer was driving his car while leaving the yard.
Counterintelligence officers and special forces of the Central Intelligence Agency "Alpha" of the SBU foiled the attempt and detained the assassin on May 8.

Ministers from Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan and Uganda agreed at the Connected Africa Summit in Nairobi to jointly fund a feasibility study for the Northern Corridor Regional Communication and Broadcasting Satellite Initiative (NCRCBSI), aimed at reducing reliance on foreign satellites and extending digital services to underserved areas. The feasibility study is expected to take 12 to 18 months to complete. Kenya's cabinet secretary for information William Kabogo Gitau and Uganda's Chris Baryomunsi both spoke at the summit's conclusion, with Baryomunsi calling on the four states to move from preparation to implementation.
Africa's total space economy reached $25bn in 2024, up from $19bn in 2021, while African governments allocated $828m to the space sector in 2026, a 32% increase from 2025, according to market intelligence agency Space in Africa.

🦠 مقامهای اسپانیایی اعلام کردند بندر «گرانادییا د آبونا» در جزیره تنریف واقع در جزایر قناری، خود را برای ورود کشتی تفریحی «اموی هوندیوس» (MV Hondius) آماده میکند؛ کشتیای که شیوع ویروس هانتا در آن تاکنون جان دستکم ۳ نفر را گرفته است.
براساس گزارش رویترز، این کشتی با ۱۴۹ سرنشین از ۲۳ کشور مختلف، پس از ثبت چندین مورد ابتلا به ویروس هانتا به سمت تنریف در حرکت است. تاکنون ابتلای ۴ نفر دیگر بهطور رسمی تایید شده و ۳ مورد مشکوک نیز تحت بررسی قرار دارد.
مقامهای اسپانیا اعلام کردهاند کشتی قرار است ظهر یکشنبه در نزدیکی سواحل تنریف مستقر شود، اما به دلایل احتیاطی مستقیما در بندر پهلو نخواهد گرفت. طبق تصمیم مقامهای محلی، مسافران و خدمه با قایقهای کوچکتر به ساحل منتقل خواهند شد.
دولت مرکزی اسپانیا تاکید کرده تاکنون هیچ نشانهای مبنی بر تهدید گسترده بهداشت عمومی مشاهده نشده و سازمان جهانی بهداشت نیز خطر سرایت وسیع این ویروس به عموم مردم را «پایین» ارزیابی کرده است.
