🇮🇳 India's Data Centre Boom Strains Power Grid

India's ~270 data centres currently consume 0.5% of national electricity output, but demand is projected to reach 3% by 2030 as AI and cloud workloads expand. Mumbai alone hosts 61 sites serving Amazon, Google, and Microsoft — sharing a grid with 20 million users — and data centres could account for a third of the city's electricity by 2030.

India generates roughly 1,900 TWh annually, compared to the US grid's ~4,500 TWh. The US already has over 4,000 data centres consuming more than 4% of national electricity. India's far smaller and less developed grid faces proportionally higher stress from a demand base that is geographically concentrated and growing faster than infrastructure capacity.

Physical grid constraints — not just generation capacity — are the binding bottleneck, with transmission and distribution networks in key hubs at risk of severe strain before the decade ends.

ستاد فرماندهی مرکزی آمریکا (CENTCOM) اعلام کرد که نیروهای آمریکایی این هفته سه نفتکش با پرچم ایران را در خلیج عمان از کار انداخته‌اند، به عنوان بخشی از اقدامات اجرایی مرتبط با محاصره مداوم آمریکا علیه ایران.

جنگنده‌های F/A-18 سوپر هورنت نیروی دریایی از عرشه ناو هواپیمابر هسته ای بوشآمریکا روز پنجشنبه با شلیک مهمات دقیق ( توپ ۲۰ میلی متری ) به دودکش‌های نفتکش‌های M/T Sea Star III و M/T Sevda هدف قرار دادند، پیش از آنکه این کشتی‌ها وارد بندر ایرانی شوند. نفتکش دیگری به نام M/T Hasna نیز گزارش شده که روز سه‌شنبه پس از شلیک گلوله توسط یک جنگنده آمریکایی به سکان آن از کار افتاده است.

بیش از ۵۰ کشتی تجاری تغییر مسیر داده‌اند و چندین کشتی برای اجرای انطباق با محاصره از کار افتاده‌اند.
