At least under current conditions, the rules of the Strait of Hormuz are thus — unless other significant events occur…

➡️ The fact that the Americans did not want these two destroyers to remain in the Persian Gulf, and that they accepted the risk of withdrawing them in such haste after only about three days, is further evidence that they too know the probability of a resumption of full-scale hostilities is very high, and that US destroyers in a widespread combat scenario in the Persian Gulf will certainly be hit.

In any event, the movements of US destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz over the past three days — and last night — should be understood within the context of Trump's ill-conceived "Project Freedom" mission, which forced him to take another major risk last night to wrap up this affair. On the other hand, after these two short clashes with US destroyers in southern Iranian waters, Iran's armed forces will likely adjust their offensive tactics somewhat to achieve the desired success… Offensive and effective capabilities certainly exist in Iran's order of battle, but everything depends on tactics and how they are implemented.
