Ukraine has unveiled a Shahed interceptor drone capable of speeds of up to 320 km/h, according to Army Recognition.
The Ukrainian interceptor drone “Chaklun” was presented at the SAHA Expo 2026 and is already being used against Russian UAVs.
The drone is equipped with a turbojet engine, can reach speeds of up to 320 km/h, and operates at altitudes of up to 6 km. Its range is up to 30 km when used together with RADA-class radars.
According to Army Recognition, “Chaklun” fills a niche between FPV interceptors and traditional anti-aircraft missiles. It was specifically designed to destroy reconnaissance drones and Shahed-type attack drones.
The developers also state that the drone can maintain control even under active electronic warfare.

Authorities in Damascus replaced the sign at the Palace of Justice in Hasakah, which had been written in Arabic and Kurdish, with a new one in Arabic and English, removing all traces of the Kurdish language. This led protesters to forcibly remove the sign and destroy it.
Actions such as these call into question Damascus’s willingness to integrate the Kurdish minority into its sphere of influence, reminding us that Jolani’s January announcement about granting more rights to the Kurds is nothing but empty words—just like the status of the Kurdish language itself, which has been recognized as a “national language,” an ambiguity used to promise greater (theoretical, of course) to the language without granting it official status, which remains Arabic.
This occurred in parallel with popular demonstrations in Kobani, protesting the new authorities’ discriminatory policies toward the Kurdish population.
