🇸🇩🇪🇹🇦🇪 Sudan accuses Ethiopia and UAE of orchestrating drone attacks on Khartoum airport

Sudan has accused Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates of orchestrating drone strikes on Khartoum International Airport on Monday, describing the assault as direct aggression. Sudan's army claims it has conclusive evidence the drones were launched from Bahir Dar airport in Ethiopia, and Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem announced Sudan had recalled its ambassador to Ethiopia for consultations. No casualties were reported, but authorities suspended airport operations for 72 hours. Sudan's military said it tracked and shot down a drone identified as Emirati property that entered Sudanese airspace from Ethiopia.

Ethiopia called the accusations baseless, while the UAE said the unfounded accusations and deliberate propaganda undermined efforts to resolve the conflict. The attack came one week after the first direct international commercial flight in three years landed at the airport.
