Palm Beach County approved a licensing agreement with Trump's family business yesterday, a requirement to rename Palm Beach International Airport after the sitting president.

The agreement stops the Trump family from profiting off branded merchandise sold at the airport. It says nothing about everywhere else.

It also gives the family control over any biographical material presented there and requires the airport to pick vendors from a Trump-approved list.

A trademark lawyer called it "extremely unusual." Kennedy and Reagan airports, for reference, have no such agreements with those presidents' families.

This fits a broader pattern: the Kennedy Center is now the Trump-Kennedy Center, new Navy vessels are the Trump class, legislation has been introduced to rename Dulles International Airport as Donald J. Trump International Airport, and Trump’s signature will soon appear on U.S. currency.
