❗️ Ukraine has called on the international community to help save residents of the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region from a humanitarian catastrophe.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the situation in Oleshky, Hola Prystan, Stara Zburivka, and Nova Zburivka is of particular concern.

According to the ministry, the occupiers are artificially restricting people’s movement and blocking the delivery of essential goods, food, and medicines to civilians, including children.

The population in these areas has dropped from about 40,000 to around 6,000, and in Oleshky from 24,000 to roughly 2,000.

Critical infrastructure has been destroyed, with no electricity or gas supply, and civilians are reportedly being targeted by drone attacks.

More than 220 evacuation requests have already been submitted to state authorities. The Foreign Ministry has begun consultations with the UN and the Red Cross and plans to raise the issue at UN and OSCE forums.

“We call on international partners to pressure Russia to comply with international humanitarian law and to create the necessary conditions and evacuation corridors for civilians,” the statement said.
