🇺🇸🇮🇷 Axios: U.S. and Iranian officials are reportedly close to a brief 14-point agreement aimed at ending the current conflict and restarting nuclear negotiations.

The proposed deal would pause Iran’s uranium enrichment for at least 12 years, ease U.S. sanctions, release frozen Iranian funds, and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The framework would begin with a 30-day negotiation period, likely in Geneva or Islamabad, while both sides gradually roll back military and shipping restrictions. Iran would also accept tougher UN inspections and pledge not to pursue nuclear weapons.

No final agreement has been reached.

🤬 The Russians have used drones to strike the Kernel terminal in Chornomorsk.

This is one of the main hubs through which Ukrainian sunflower oil goes to world markets. Kernel provides every tenth ton of global exports of this product.

Direct hits destroyed the tanks - more than 1,100 tons of oil leaked. It did not get into the sea, everything was quickly localized.

The explosions caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished. Equipment, offices, and four railway tanks were damaged. The terminal suspended operations.

Exports, according to the company, continue through partner terminals - in Odesa and on the Danube. That is, the infrastructure has been hit, but the country is not losing foreign exchange earnings yet.

🇯🇵🇦🇺 Australia and Japan Formalize Economic Security Pact

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi visited Canberra on May 6, where she and Australian PM Anthony Albanese signed a Joint Declaration on Economic Security Cooperation. The agreement moves their bilateral partnership toward formal institutionalization, covering trade coercion resilience and energy security.

Both countries face structural exposure to Chinese economic pressure and share dependence on stable Indo-Pacific supply chains. The declaration reflects a deliberate effort by two mid-sized powers to reduce reliance on the US security umbrella by deepening direct bilateral ties — effectively hardening what observers have called a quasi-alliance.

The move adds institutional weight to an already dense security relationship that includes the Reciprocal Access Agreement and Quad membership.

Ukraine’s annual drone production capacity is between 5 and 7 million units.

Now think about how you defend against that. You cannot fire Patriot missiles at every drone.

For example, the European Union is building an electronic shield against Russian missiles and drones.

They are trying to neutralize them electronically somehow.

Apart from Ukraine, have you heard about any major ground offensives recently? Hardly any.

Everyone is simply firing missiles at each other. The war lasts as long as your missile stockpile lasts.

🇺🇦 Zelensky: After yesterday's brutal strikes against our cities and communities - Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kramatorsk and others - the Russian army continued active combat operations and terrorist shelling this day as well. Russia's choice is an obvious rejection of silence and the preservation of lives.

Assault operations are ongoing on all key areas of the front, and since the beginning of this day alone, the Russian army has already carried out almost 30 assault operations. More than 20 air strikes using more than 70 air bombs have been recorded just last night and this morning.

During this night, the Russian army also carried out strikes with drones of various types. In particular, our Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized almost ninety attack drones alone. There were also missile strikes. In total, as of 10 a.m., the Russian army had carried out 1,820 violations of the regime of silence - shelling, attempted assaults, air strikes, and the use of drones.

I am grateful to our soldiers for protecting Ukrainian positions. Ukraine clearly stated that it would act in a mirror manner, given the intrusive Russian appeals through the media and social networks asking for silence during the Moscow parade. It is obvious to all normal people that a full-scale war and daily killings of people are a bad time for public “celebrations”.

Russia must end its ongoing war. Even with the Internet turned off and the communication of most Russians blocked, it is absolutely clear that their leadership can come out of the bunker and choose peace. Our diplomatic proposals are with the Russian side, and the only thing that is needed is Russia’s readiness to move towards real peace.

As of today, we state that the Russian side has disrupted the ceasefire. Based on the evening reports of our military and intelligence, we will decide on our further actions. Glory to Ukraine!
