On May 6, Ukraine marks Armed Forces Infantry Day—a day to honor those who have been fighting for over 4 years of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Soldiers who often hold their positions for more than 100 days at a time, enduring temperatures as low as −22°C in winter and up to +30°C in summer. People who may see their loved ones only twice a year, yet continue to work tirelessly every day to liberate every meter of Ukrainian land.

🇺🇦 MFA Sybiha: Russia violated the ceasefire initiated by Ukraine at midnight between May 5th and 6th.
Russian attacks with the use of 108 drones and 3 missiles continued throughout the night, including morning strikes on Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia.
Moscow once again ignored a realistic and fair call to end hostilities, supported by other states and international organisations.
This shows that Russia rejects peace and its fake calls for a ceasefire on May 9th have nothing to do with diplomacy. Putin only cares about military parades, not human lives.
Such attitude necessitates strong and increased pressure on the Russian regime, including new rounds of sanctions, isolation, accountability for Russian crimes, and enhanced support for Ukraine in all areas.

🇨🇳 WSJ: China Is Still Supplying Iran and Russia’s Drone Programs Despite U.S. Sanctions.
Small Chinese companies are openly exporting dual-use drone components—including engines, batteries, fiber-optic cables and chips—to Iran and Russia, often in defiance of U.S. sanctions.
One company, Xiamen Victory Technology, even marketed German-designed L550 drone engines linked to Iran’s Shahed-136 attack drones during recent regional fighting.
U.S. officials say stopping the trade is difficult because drones rely on common commercial parts that are easy to move through global supply chains.
Many Chinese suppliers are small firms with little exposure to U.S. sanctions and increasingly operate openly.
