🇮🇩 Fuel Shortages Spread Across Indonesia's Riau
Fuel shortages have hit multiple regions across Riau province over the past week, with motorcycles, trucks, and cars forming long queues at nearly every petrol station. First reports emerged on April 30, affecting Pekanbaru and surrounding areas.
The shortages coincided with a Pertamina price hike on May 4 for several non-subsidised fuel products — just four days after supply disruptions began. The timing has amplified pressure on consumers already facing constrained access to fuel ahead of the adjustment.
The overlap between supply gaps and the price increase risks compounding distribution stress across Riau if restocking is delayed.

The United Arab Emirates has charged 13 individuals and six companies with weapons trafficking, money laundering, forgery, and use of official documents in cases referred to the UAE State Security Court. Among those indicted in absentia is Sudan Armed Forces chief of staff General Yasir al Atta. Prosecutors allege the defendants attempted to move ammunition through UAE territory to the SAF, linking the operation to a committee chaired by Sudan's army chief Abdel Fattah al Burhan. UAE authorities say they intercepted millions of rounds of ammunition at an unspecified airport in 2025 destined for Sudan; the SAF dismissed the claims as fake news.
Abu Dhabi has backed the rival Rapid Support Forces since Sudan's civil war began in April 2023, while Burhan's government filed a case against the UAE at the International Court of Justice in March 2025 over genocide allegations.

We spoke about Iran’s strikes against Bahrain and other countries, as well as the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Ukraine is ready to share this security expertise with Bahrain and help strengthen the protection of life. I proposed signing a Drone Deal and scaling up cooperation with Bahrain, and we agreed that our teams will work out the details.
We also raised the issue of opening embassies in each other’s countries.

Армия обороны Израиля заявила о ликвидации командира подразделения «Нукба» движения ХАМАС.
По данным армии, Анас Мухаммад Ибрагим Хамед участвовал в атаке 7 октября и проник на территорию Израиля, в том числе на фестиваль «Нова».
Он был уничтожен в результате точечного авиаудара в центральной части сектор Газа.
В ЦАХАЛ заявили, что перед ударом были приняты меры для снижения риска для гражданских.

«Стороны подробно рассмотрели текущее состояние и перспективы азербайджано-европейских отношений. В министерстве подчеркнули, что в ходе встречи главы МИД АР и верховного представителя ЕС также были рассмотрены перспективы развития сотрудничества между Азербайджаном и ЕС в рамках различных институтов и программ.
Байрамов проинформировал противоположную сторону о существующей ситуации в регионе в постконфликтный период, проводимых Азербайджаном восстановительных и реконструкционных работах, а также о мерах, принимаемых в области борьбы с минной угрозой.
«Состоялся обмен мнениями о процессе нормализации отношений с Арменией. Была вновь подчеркнута приверженность Азербайджана обеспечению устойчивого мира и стабильности в регионе», - цитирует ведомство Report.

Ранее решение Скопинского суда обжаловала прокуратура, в связи с чем оно не вступило в законную силу.
24 февраля 2021 года Нижегородский районный суд Нижнего Новгорода отправил его на 13 лет в колонию строгого режима, а также назначил штраф в 235 млн рублей, лишил госнаград.
Маркелов обвинялся в получении взятки в особо крупном размере, злоупотреблении должностными полномочиями, незаконном хранении боеприпасов. Свою вину он не признал.
Кроме того, Маркелов незаконно обеспечил свою личную охрану за счет средств республиканского бюджета на сумму около 9 млн рублей.

Taiwan began to move away from purchasing large, expensive equipment (ships, tanks) in favor of "asymmetric warfare" - this is what worked in Ukraine: the use of a large number of small, mobile systems, such as drones and portable missile systems.
The lesson of Starlink has become key for the island. Taiwan has realized that China can easily cut underwater cables, so they are now actively looking for alternative satellite systems.
Demand for first aid courses and civilian training has increased in Taiwan. People look at Ukrainians and understand that resistance is not only the business of the regular army, but also of the entire society.
Taiwanese experts are studying Ukrainian tactics of conducting psychological operations and combating disinformation.
