🔥 SBU together with AFU struck the Kirishinaftoorgsintez refinery and the Kirishi oil pumping station in the Leningrad region.

This refinery has a capacity of 20–21 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise accounts for more than 6% of the total volume of all oil refining in Russia.

The oil pumping station is one of the key facilities that ensure the supply of oil and oil products for export through the port of Primorsk.

As a result of the attack by SBU drones on Kirishinaftoorgsintez, three AVT units responsible for primary oil processing were hit. The fire is ongoing. A tank with oil products was hit on the territory of the oil pumping station.

🇬🇧 The UK has imposed sanctions on migrant recruiters for the war in Ukraine and suppliers to Russian drone factories.

The sanctions list includes 35 individuals and companies that fraudulently recruited foreign migrants and sent them to the front lines as cannon fodder or involved them in drone factories, in particular at the Alabuga Start enterprise, according to a press release from the British Foreign Office.

Among the individuals against whom sanctions have been imposed is Russian Polina Azarnykh, whom the British authorities believe is involved in recruiting people in Egypt, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Morocco, Syria and Yemen. She is also included in the Myrotvorets database as a recruiter of Arab mercenaries.

Belarusian Pavel Nikitin, the owner of a company that is one of the main manufacturers of FPV drones for the Russian army, also found himself under British sanctions.

Russian forces fired 4 missiles at emergency crews after they arrived to extinguish a fire at a Naftogaz facility in Poltava region, Ukraine’s emergency service said. Two rescuers were killed and 23 more wounded in the follow-up strike.

Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed strikes overnight on May 5 against VNIIR-Progress in Cheboksary and infrastructure at the Kirishi refinery in Russia’s Leningrad region, where a fire followed. It said VNIIR-Progress produces GNSS receivers and Kometa adaptive antenna arrays used in Shahed drones, missiles, UMPK glide bomb modules and other precision weapons. Other targets included a fuel depot, command post, Kasta radar and logistics depot.

The VNIIR-Progress plant is engaged in the production of GNSS receivers and antennas for the GLONASS, GPS and Galileo satellite systems, in particular the Comet adaptive antenna arrays.

💥 In addition, the infrastructure of the Kiryshsky oil refinery in the Leningrad region was hit.

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces also confirms strikes on the Kirishi refinery in Leningrad region and VNIIR-Progress in Cheboksary. Kirishi processes 20–21 million tons of oil per year and is one of Russia’s three largest refineries. VNIIR-Progress produces GNSS receivers, antennas and Kometa navigation modules used in Kalibr, Kh-69, Iskander-M, Shahed, Orlan-10, Forpost and guided bomb kits.
