🇸🇰🇺🇦 Fico said after the meeting with the President of Ukraine that Zelensky had shown "flexibility", so they will try to organize negotiations between the governments of the two countries in Bratislava, since Fico does not want to "make cheap gestures".

According to him, Slovakia will continue to not support military loans and will not transfer weapons for free, because "if someone wants weapons, they can buy them".

He added that he has "diametrically opposed views" with the President of Ukraine, but stressed that the countries are neighbors and should develop logistics.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has been on heightened alert since early March amid fears of a potential coup attempt and drone-based assassination threats from inside the country, according to an investigation by Vazhnye Istorii on May 4, citing European intelligence assessments and sources within Russian security services.

The report states that Putin has significantly altered his security routine, suspending visits to his regular residences in the Moscow region and Valdai. Instead, he is said to be operating primarily from fortified, modernized bunker facilities in Russia’s Krasnodar region.

In response to mounting risks, the Federal Protective Service (FSO) has expanded its list of high-priority protection targets to include at least ten senior military officials. Among them are Igor Kostyukov, Chief of Russia’s Main Intelligence Directorate, and Nikolai Bogdanovsky, irst Deputy Chief of the General Staff. The move follows the killing of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov in Moscow and what officials reportedly view as systemic failures to prevent attacks on military leadership within Russian territory.

🇸🇦🇷🇺 OPEC+ adds 188,000 bpd to June quota after UAE withdrawal

Seven OPEC+ members — Algeria, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Oman, Russia and Saudi Arabia — agreed on 3 May to raise their collective oil output quota by 188,000 barrels per day for June, following the United Arab Emirates' departure from the group on 2 May. The UAE, which announced its withdrawal on 28 April citing dissatisfaction with production quotas, was not mentioned in the post-meeting statement. The June increase is comparable to the 206,000-barrel daily additions announced in both March and April, minus the UAE's former share.

Analysts note the quota rise may have limited effect on actual supply, as untapped Gulf reserves remain constrained by Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, in place since the start of the US-Israeli war on 28 February.
