🇧🇷🤡❗️🇺🇸 — Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said that the government of U.S. President Donald Trump is sheltering a Brazilian criminal and stated that Congressman Alexandre Ramagem will return to Brazil to serve the sentence imposed by the Supreme Federal Court (STF).

“You know, I think the guy is going to come back here. The right wing here in Brazil is saying he was arrested over a small fine — no. He was arrested, he had already been sentenced to 16 years in this country. He was a coup plotter who has been convicted. He has to return to Brazil to serve his sentence.

Well, regarding Trump, that’s it. I hope that… I hope he gradually starts learning. That image of Jesus Christ, that is a… a… honestly, that does not contribute to those who believe in the multilateral system, who believe in democracy.”

C: The rest of Lebanon. The Lebanese Armed Forces will be responsible for dismantling Hezbollah’s remaining positions (north of the Litani River, in the Bekaa Valley, along the eastern border, and south of Beirut) with the support of Israel and the United States.
Israel has declared that there will be no full withdrawal until Hezbollah is eliminated, setting a precedent for indefinitely occupying the area south of the Litani River, which Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Yoel Smotrich had previously referred to as part of the territory of Greater Israel.

On the other hand, the Lebanese government faces the challenge of dismantling a cross-sectarian movement like Hezbollah, which has managed to consolidate its presence across much of Lebanese territory and gain significant support among the population, effectively creating a state within a state. The failure of the government and the armed forces to assert control over Hezbollah could spark a Lebanese civil conflict by reigniting tensions with the Shia community and divisions within the armed forces. It is then that Lebanon could become a battleground for dispute and external intervention, with Syria (which continues to reinforce the border and amass troops) serving as the instrument used to subdue the last remaining groups of the resistance axis in Lebanon, with the approval of Tel Aviv and Washington.

The spread of the conflict to the rest of Lebanon would trigger a new social and demographic catastrophe, affecting not only Lebanon’s diverse society but also the various refugee groups that have been hosted on its territory for decades.
🇧🇷⚖️📝🏛 — Justice Gilmar Mendes, the senior member of Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court (STF), once again criticized the report of the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) on Organized Crime, which calls for his indictment and that of other justices. The magistrate stated that the case requires investigation for abuse of power.

“The request by the rapporteur of the CPI on Organized Crime, aimed at indicting STF justices without legal basis, leads us to reflect on the role and powers of CPIs. Even worse when the request flirts with arbitrariness, such as the criminalization of decisions that grant habeas corpus in the face of abuse of power.

It is elementary, even for a law student, that indictment is an act exclusive to a police chief and does not apply to crimes of responsibility, which follow their own procedure as provided in Law 1.079/1950. This law, in defining the competencies and procedures of impeachment, assigns the processing and judgment of such requests to specific bodies — such as the Senate Board, the Special Committee, and the plenary — without even providing for the participation of CPIs in this process. Equally serious is the attempt to criminalize the granting of habeas corpus — a practice known as a ‘crime of hermeneutics,’ which as early as 1896 Rui Barbosa denounced as a crude attempt to replace the conscience of independent judges with the arbitrariness of overbearing governments.

It is also noteworthy that, as pointed out by independent journalists, a CPI established after the massacre of 120 people in the Complexo do Alemão and Penha last year did not even carry out the breaking of confidentiality of militiamen or members of factions that control territories in Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, it is at the very least disturbing that the rapporteur, as a career police officer, has turned a blind eye to colleagues who, betraying the good image of the institution, crossed over to the dark side of militias. The report reveals a true smokescreen, as it fails to address the serious problem it set out to tackle and instead devotes itself to fueling media noise against the STF, in the expectation of producing electoral gains for certain political actors.

CPIs are legitimate and essential instruments for overseeing the exercise of power. Their use for pamphleteering or institutional harassment, however, undermines their credibility and reinforces the need to modernize legislation on crimes of responsibility — a topic already under debate in Congress. Excesses of this magnitude may constitute abuse of authority and must be rigorously investigated by the Prosecutor General’s Office.”

💥 The final report of the CPI on Organized Crime, presented by Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE), calls for the indictment of three STF justices and the Prosecutor General of the Republic (PGR), Paulo Gonet. In addition to Gilmar Mendes, Dias Toffoli and Alexandre de Moraes are among the justices named in Vieira’s report.

🇧🇷⚖️📝🏛 — Justice Flávio Dino said it is a “gigantic historical mistake” to point to Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court (STF) as the “greatest national problem.” The statement was made on Instagram after the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) on Organized Crime indicted STF justices as well as the Prosecutor General of the Republic (PGR), Paulo Gonet. Dino did not mention names.

“The Supreme Federal Court has a significant body of judicial decisions against organized crime in Brazil, within the limits of its constitutional powers, reaching armed groups, political crimes, and factions in general. The same can be said of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

It is irresponsible to investigate organized crime and not address militiamen, drug traffickers, illegal arms dealers, illegal mining operations, factions that control territories, hitmen, and gunmen, etc.

Currently, some people are making the mistake of pointing to the STF as the ‘greatest national problem.’ It is, to say the least, an immense error. I stress: a gigantic historical mistake, which requires better reflection on its consequences.

Criticism and investigations should indeed be carried out. But with respect for people’s dignity and with the preservation of democratic institutions, because without them there are no fundamental rights or future for the nation.

Unfortunately, my position as a judge prevents me from writing more about how much the STF has done and is doing in the fight against organized crime. It is not my place to speak, but it is on record.

However, I can and must express my PERSONAL SOLIDARITY to colleagues who are targets of injustice.”

➡️ The rapporteur of the commission, Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE), indicted Gilmar Mendes, Alexandre de Moraes, and Dias Toffoli. The lawmaker attributed to the three justices crimes of responsibility, which could support impeachment requests.

➡️ Vieira argued that Moraes and Toffoli acted “in a manner incompatible” with the honor, dignity, and decorum of their positions due to their relationship with Banco Master. In the case of Mendes, he pointed to the suspension of confidentiality breaches requested by the CPI as a way to protect his colleagues.

🇧🇷🏛🥱👑⚖️ — The rapporteur of the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) on Organized Crime, Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE), criticized what he called a “Louis XIV complex” among justices of Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court (STF) during the reading of the committee’s final report

➡️ Louis XIV was a 17th-century French absolutist king associated with the phrase “I am the State.” According to Vieira, some justices “embody this spirit.” The senator also responded to criticism of his request to indict three STF justices and the Prosecutor General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, in the Master case.

“There is a need for this Senate to help the Supreme Court overcome what seems to me to be a Louis XIV complex. That French king who said ‘I am the State.’ We have justices who effectively incorporate this spirit when they say or understand that criticism directed at their individual conduct translates into criticism of democracy or criticism of the Supreme Court as an institution. That is not true.”

❗️ The statement comes after Justice Gilmar Mendes, who is one of the targets of Vieira’s report, said that the CPI “has no legal basis” to indict magistrates for crimes of responsibility and that it is “serious” to attempt to “criminalize” the granting of habeas corpus.

⚠️ Vieira stated that the attack against him “is not an isolated action by Justice Gilmar.” According to the senator, it is a “repetition of a modus operandi that mixes the politicization of technical decisions with the constant use of threats through harsh statements, using media outlets or social networks.”

🇧🇷⚖️🚫📝🏛 — Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Dias Toffoli criticized lawmakers after the rapporteur of the CPI on Organized Crime, Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE), requested his indictment along with other members of the Court. During a session of the Second Panel, Toffoli stated that those who attack institutions “to gain votes” act against democracy and must be punished

“We cannot refrain from electorally removing those who have abused their power by attacking institutions to gain votes and taint the will of the electorate. That is what this is about when a reckless report like this emerges! This could even lead to ineligibility. The Electoral Court will not fail to punish those who abuse their power to gain votes through electoral proselytism. An immediate end must be put to this drive that attacking certain institutions brings votes.”

Statement issued by the Islamic Resistance Front in Syria, the first of the brave
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“And do not incline toward the wrongdoers, lest the Fire touch you, and you would have no protector other than Allah. Then you would have none...”
You will emerge victorious.
The recent warnings by Syrian Governor Hakan Fidan regarding Israel’s growing ambitions in Syria clearly reveal that our country has become the “eye of the storm” and that the Zionist enemy is seeking a “new victim” to expand its influence and perpetrate its crimes.
These official statements from a major regional power confirm that the danger is no longer merely a possibility, but a reality that imposes itself upon everyone and places us before a historic responsibility.
Forwarded from Suriyakmaps (Suriyak)
In light of this reality, we announce the following to the public:
First: A message to the de facto authority in Damascus:
Regional powers have grasped the magnitude of the imminent danger; when will you? Protecting Syria from Israeli aggression will not be achieved by submitting to foreign powers or seeking humiliating normalization agreements to consolidate your power. Protecting the territory requires supporting the fighters of the free resistance, not imprisoning them, persecuting them, or forcibly making them disappear. The ongoing persecution by your security apparatus of every patriotic voice calling for resistance is a free service to the enemy. The force that the occupation fears is the resistance that springs from the will of the people, not chained armies.
Through secret agreements.
Second: Resistance is the solution, not normalization.
We affirm that any attempt to normalize relations with the occupation or its collaborating powers under the pretext of protecting the state is a flagrant betrayal of the Syrian people’s blood.
History has shown that the enemy can only be defeated through steadfastness and confrontation.
The authorities in Damascus must choose: either to stand firm alongside their people and the resistance fighters in a united struggle against Zionist ambitions, or to remain a burden on Syria’s sovereignty and a cause for the loss of what remains of it.
Third: A call to the free people of Syria:
Your conscience is an insurmountable barrier, so do not allow those who ruined the country to exploit the land issue once again. Defending Syria begins with rejecting tyranny and joining the ranks of the resistance.
Fourth: A warning:
Let it be clear that we are working quietly to ensure our response is precise, effective, and decisive against the enemy—far from mere empty gestures. The delay in our operations is not due to inactivity, but to the calm before the storm, which allows us to regroup and ensure that every shot is accurate. We prioritize the protection of our civilian population above all else, and our actions are selective and decisive, with a single objective: to liberate our land and protect our honor.
And Allah has absolute control over His affairs.

🇧🇷🏛🤝🤡⚖️ — The President of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), stated that Brazil is experiencing a moment of “aggressions against institutions” – such as the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) – and criticized those who, according to him, exceed the “constitutional limits” of freedom of expression

“We are living through a permanent aggression against republican institutions. It has become very easy to offend others. Everyone is going beyond the institutional limits that guide proper coexistence in a republican relationship! We are a democracy. We need to understand people who think differently, but constantly offending, subjugating, attacking, and assaulting will not build the Brazil that Brazilians need and expect from the branches of government.”

➡️ Earlier, the Senate’s CPI on Organized Crime requested the indictment of justices of the Supreme Federal Court (STF). Last week, the President of the Senate rejected the request to extend the commission’s work and also shelved the CPMI of the INSS, which was investigating the theft of money from retirees to benefit businesspeople allied with the government.
