این نهاد پیشنهاد داده است که اتحادیه اروپا اقداماتی نظیر خرید عمده سوخت و تسهیل موقت مقررات و کاهش موانع قانونی برای واردات سریع سوخت به قاره را در دستور کار قرار دهد. همچنین این گروه از کمیسیون اروپا خواست تا سیستم نظارت و ارزیابی اختصاصی خود را برای رصد دقیق میزان تولید و موجودی سوخت هواپیما راه‌اندازی کند. در این نامه تاکید شده است که وقوع بحران در تامین سوخت، علاوه بر اختلال شدید در سفرهای هوایی، آسیب قابل‌توجهی به اقتصاد اروپا وارد کرده و اثرات ناشی از افزایش قیمت نفت را که نسبت به پیش از آغاز جنگ آمریکا و اسرائیل علیه جمهوری اسلامی بیش از دو برابر شده است، تشدید خواهد کرد.
