Ukraine is preparing a new meeting with the United States, President Zelenskyy said.

According to him, negotiations are ongoing, with some contacts postponed due to the situation in the Middle East. The parties are currently coordinating a new meeting, including with the participation of an American delegation.

He noted that security guarantees remain a key issue, including post-war military funding, the supply of air defense systems, and a clear mechanism for a US and allied response in the event of further aggression.

🇮🇷🇵🇰 Iran Delegation Arrives for Islamabad Talks

An Iranian delegation arrived in Islamabad on Thursday ahead of Pakistan-brokered talks with the United States scheduled for the weekend. Iran's ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, confirmed the delegation's arrival and said discussions would be based on ten points proposed by Iran.

The White House stated that US Vice President JD Vance would lead the American side in negotiations in Islamabad. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended the invitation to Iran despite what Moghadam described as repeated ceasefire violations by Israel.

Islamabad authorities declared local holidays across the capital for several days beginning Wednesday, citing no specific reason. Essential services including police, hospitals, and utilities were ordered to remain operational during the period.

Russia has accused Ukraine and Norway of “preparing surface drone strikes on ships” in the Barents Sea, while Norway is preparing for possible provocations.

According to Russian claims, about 50 servicemen from the 385th Separate Brigade of Special-Purpose Naval Unmanned Systems of the Ukrainian Navy have allegedly arrived in Norway. Together with Norwegian Navy specialists, they are said to be practicing the use of naval UAVs in low-temperature conditions.

These drones are allegedly intended to attack Russian ships operating along sea routes in the Barents and Norwegian Seas to and from the port of Murmansk.

“The Norwegian leadership’s support for the terrorist activities of the Kyiv regime and the provision of its territory for the preparation and conduct of sabotage at sea is a direct involvement of the country and even the entire NATO in a military conflict with Russia,” Russian sources claim.

Against the backdrop of these statements, as well as the UK’s report that a Russian sabotage operation in the North Atlantic had been foiled, Norway is increasing cooperation with NATO allies, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, to protect underwater infrastructure and the Arctic region.

Norway believes that Russia may take military action under the pretext of “protecting” strategic nuclear bases on the Kola Peninsula.

The Svalbard archipelago (Spitsbergen) remains a source of tension, as Russia seeks to expand its activities there despite Norway’s sovereignty over the territory.
