❗️The Russian federal budget for January-March was closed with a deficit of 4.576 trillion rubles, - Russian Ministry of Finance.
With revenues of 8.309 trillion rubles, the government spent 1.5 times more—12.885 trillion rubles.
As a result, the "hole" in the treasury increased by 133% compared to the same period last year and exceeded the full-year plan by 700 billion rubles.
Budget oil and gas revenues fell by 45%, reaching their lowest level since the pandemic—1.445 trillion rubles.
Despite the tax increase, revenues from non-resource sectors of the economy increased by only 7.1%, to 6.866 trillion rubles.

Bloody day in Lebanon. 🇮🇱🇱🇧
Today’s Israeli attacks on the Lebanese population, under the pretext of fighting Hezbollah, have resulted in a massacre on par with those carried out in Gaza. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reports at least 112 dead and 837 wounded, while the Lebanese Civil Defense puts the figure at at least 254 dead and more than 1,165 wounded. Even the Lebanese Red Cross warns of nearly 300 dead.
Following today’s bombings, the death toll in Lebanon stands at approximately 1,784 dead and more than 5,977 wounded.

The responsibility for this massacre lies largely with Israel. However, the Lebanese government itself has not been spared criticism. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stated after the ceasefire announcement that “no one can negotiate on behalf of Lebanon except the Lebanese state through its constitutional institutions”—words that were sufficient for Israel to decide that Lebanese territory would not be included in the ceasefire. This is a serious miscalculation by a government that lacks the strength to pursue a robust foreign policy or to assert itself against Hezbollah. Coupled with the embarrassing images from a few days ago of the Lebanese army retreating in the face of the Israeli advance, Salam’s stance has dealt another severe blow to confidence in Lebanese institutions. 🇱🇧

- The first is the much-discussed inclusion of Lebanon in the ceasefire, which has been violated by Israel, causing numerous casualties and injuries in the country today. The reaction on the streets of Iran has been notable, with the population chanting slogans in support of defending Lebanon and respecting the ceasefire.
- The second is the violation of Iranian airspace by drones, to which must be added the attack on Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf by the UAE, Israel, and the U.S.
- The third is the denial of Iran’s uranium enrichment, which is indispensable for electricity generation and civilian use (even though Iran had committed to not producing nuclear weapons).
Not even a day has passed, and the ceasefire is on the verge of collapsing due to the unwillingness of Washington and Tel Aviv to engage in dialogue with Tehran.
