🇯🇵 Japan Passes Record Annual Budget

Japan's parliament approved the country's largest ever annual budget package on Tuesday, covering the fiscal year that began April 1. The budget features record allocations for both defense and social security spending.

The package was formulated before the outbreak of the Iran war and includes few provisions to address rising fuel prices resulting from that conflict.

Some voices within the Japanese government have already called for a supplementary budget to provide relief to households affected by higher energy costs.

In fact, there can be no reason to reduce the pressure of sanctions – earlier this was talked about as a kind of need to ease problems on the world oil market. And if it is possible to unblock the Strait of Hormuz – and this is a global need – Russian oil revenues should continue to decline.

Oil fuels Russia's war and makes Russia confident. And that's why the Russians invested so much in supporting the Iranian regime and trying to drag out that war.
