🇨🇳🇰🇵 Wang Yi to Visit North Korea April 9–10

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to visit North Korea on April 9–10, according to China's Foreign Ministry. The last publicly known visit by Wang in that capacity was in late 2019.

Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that China aims to strengthen strategic communication with North Korea and enhance exchanges and cooperation. She described the visit as an important move to advance bilateral ties.

The visit follows a series of steps to restore links between the two countries, including the resumption of Beijing–Pyongyang passenger train service in March and Air China restarting flights between the two capitals. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing in September, and Premier Li Qiang visited Pyongyang in October.

Россия рассчитывает, что у американских представителей появится больше времени для продолжения переговорного процесса на украинском треке

"Надеемся, что уже в обозримой перспективе у них будет больше времени и больше возможностей встречаться в трехстороннем формате, мы этого ждем.
