The SBU, together with the FBI and European partners, has exposed a large-scale cyber operation by Russian intelligence that hacked home and office Wi-Fi routers in Ukraine, the EU and the USA.

Hackers gained access to vulnerable devices and redirected traffic through their own pre-deployed network of DNS servers, which allowed them to intercept passwords, correspondence and other confidential data. The main targets were state structures, military and defense enterprises.

As part of the operation, more than 100 servers were blocked and hundreds of routers in Ukraine were taken out of enemy control.

The SBU calls on users to update router software, change passwords and restrict remote access.

Mircea Lucescu, the renowned Romanian football coach and longtime head of Shakhtar Donetsk, has died at 80, Euronews reports.

He was admitted to the University Hospital of Bucharest at the end of March due to deteriorating health, suffered a heart attack, and was declared dead on Tuesday.

Lucescu began his professional football career in 1963, playing for several Romanian clubs, and in the late 1970s combined playing with coaching duties. He ended his playing career in the 1990s to focus on coaching.

In 2004, he became head coach of Shakhtar Donetsk, a position he held for 12 years. Under his leadership, the club repeatedly won the Ukrainian championship and Cup, and in 2009 won the UEFA Cup.

He later coached Zenit (2016–2017) and Dynamo Kyiv (2020–2023), and from 2024 until nearly his death, he led the Romanian national team.
