🇺🇸 AP: Three U.S. personnel were injured during the Iran rescue mission: the downed F-15E weapons officer and two helicopter crew members hit by ground fire.

Rescue helicopters came under intense small-arms fire, with one aircraft taking multiple hits, while the injured officer managed to move and signal his location despite severe wounds.

По данным Fox News, в период между двумя операциями по спасению членов экипажа сбитого в пятницу истребителя F-15E стратегические бомбардировщики B-2A Spirit совершили 36-часовой перелёта через Атлантический океан и нанесли удары по подземному штабу КСИР в Тегеране с использованием противобункерных бомб GBU-57A/B MOP.

Удары были нанесены после того, как разведкой было зафиксировано собрание старших командиров Корпуса.

🇮🇷🇺🇸❗️New footage of April 2 U.S. strikes on a bridge in Karaj, Iran. Two groups of GBU-31 bombs hit the structure.

Ukrainian company Fire Point is in talks with European partners to launch production of a new air defense system that could become an alternative to the Patriot system, the company’s co-founder and chief designer, Denys Shtilerman, told Reuters in an interview.

According to him, the goal is to reduce the cost of intercepting a ballistic missile to below $1 million. The system could be ready by next year.

Reuters notes that Ukraine and many other countries rely heavily on the American Patriot system for protection against ballistic missiles.

However, interceptor missiles for Patriot are becoming increasingly scarce amid the war in the Middle East. At the same time, Europe’s only missile defense system, the Italian-French SAMP/T, is produced in relatively small quantities.

“If we can reduce this to less than $1 million, it will change the rules of the game in air defense solutions. We plan to intercept the first ballistic missile at the end of 2027,” he said.
