Путин обсудил с Эрдоганом по телефону эскалацию конфронтации в зоне Персидского залива и ситуацию вокруг Украины
"Проведен углубленный обмен мнениями в связи с продолжающейся эскалацией военно-политической конфронтации в зоне Персидского залива. Отмечено, что интенсивные боевые действия ведут к серьезным негативным последствиям не только регионального, но и глобального масштаба, в том числе в сфере энергетики, торговли и логистики. Лидеры констатировали совпадение позиций относительно необходимости скорейшего прекращения огня и выработки компромиссных мирных договоренностей, которые бы учитывали законные интересы всех государств региона", - говорится в сообщении.
В нем отмечается, что при обсуждении ситуации вокруг Украины Путин выразил признательность Эрдогану "за неизменную готовность содействовать проведению соответствующего переговорного процесса".

A joint report by the African Development Bank, the African Union Commission, UNDP and the UN Economic Commission for Africa warns that African economies face a sharper growth slowdown if the Middle East war continues. Global oil prices have surged by more than 50% as of late March 2026, 29 African currencies have weakened, and disruptions to Gulf energy supplies are threatening fertiliser access during the critical March to May planting season. More than 15 African nations source over half of their oil from the Middle East, and the Strait of Hormuz handles around 20% of global oil exports.
The report, released on the margins of the 58th Session of the Economic Commission for Africa in Morocco, calls for accelerated regional integration, faster implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area and greater continental self-sufficiency to reduce exposure to external shocks.

🔺 Voting on the draft resolution proposed by Bahrain to the UN Security Council has been postponed following pressure from China and Russia, and opposition from France.
🔺 Bahrain submitted a draft resolution to the Security Council that addresses ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz using “all necessary means”—i.e., military action.
🔺 This clause of Bahrain’s proposed draft has drawn strong opposition from China and Russia, as well as concern from France over escalating tensions and widening the war. As a result, the vote has been postponed, and it is expected that this clause will be removed from the draft before any future vote.
