The US is preparing a record-breaking defense budget for 2027 — up to $1.5 trillion

The bulk of the spending will amount to around $1.15 trillion, with an additional $350 billion planned to be added through a separate procedure.

Around $760 billion will be allocated for arms purchases and $220 billion for research and development. The funds will go towards replenishing reserves and containing China.

The priorities include the missile defense system, the navy, and F-35 fighter jets.

Both Reuters and the Wall Street Journal, citing officials with knowledge on the matter, have confirmed that an F-15E was shot down in Iran, with the Wall Street Journal saying that people familiar with the situation have confirmed to them that CSAR is underway.

RFI says Ukraine has bases in Libya to counter Russia, citing sources. It claims 200+ Ukrainian officers and experts are there with Tripoli’s approval and are training Libyan troops on drones. RFI also links them to strikes on Russian sanction-busting ships, including the Arctic Metagaz hit.
