The United States is seriously considering withdrawing from NATO after allies failed to support Washington in the war with Iran.

According to Trump, the decision is essentially already formed. He stressed that the U.S. should not be solely responsible for Europe’s security.

“NATO never inspired confidence in me. I always knew it was a ‘paper tiger,’ and Putin knows it too,” the U.S. president said.

Trump also claimed that Iran has requested a ceasefire. Washington is ready to discuss it, but only after the Strait of Hormuz is reopened.
