Strike on key complexes in recent days is a catastrophe for Russia, as they stop key nodes of energy exports, disrupt supply chains and deprive the country of a significant part of its income from oil products.

Credit ratings agency S&P has downgraded Senegal's local currency rating to CCC+/C from B-/B, citing rising refinancing risks and the government's growing reliance on short-maturity domestic debt. The agency also pointed to stalled negotiations over a new IMF programme as a key factor behind the downgrade.
The rating cut reflects mounting fiscal pressure on Dakar, which has faced significant economic turbulence since an audit revealed large discrepancies in previously reported budget deficit figures following the change of government in 2024.
