🇧🇷🤡🤝🇷🇺⛏ — A subsidiary of Russia’s State Nuclear Agency (Rosatom) has entered into a partnership with a Brazilian company for the extraction and processing of critical minerals in the country, a sensitive topic for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT)

🇧🇷 NBEPar (Núcleo Brasil Energia Participações), a holding of the Diamante Energia Group, and Uranium One Group JSC, controlled by the Russian state, have signed an agreement to create a joint venture called Nadina Minerals, which will operate out of Rio de Janeiro.

📝 In a statement, Moscow’s nuclear agency explained that the joint activities include everything from obtaining licenses with the Brazilian government to conducting geological prospecting in potential deposits and establishing companies for the extraction and processing of metals critical to the development of high-tech sectors.

➡️ In the statement, Rosatom highlighted that Russia has a history of nuclear cooperation with Brazil, particularly in the supply of enriched nuclear fuel and the conversion of Brazilian uranium.
