🇩🇪🇺🇦 Germany has transferred a new batch of interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense reported.

PAC-3 missiles are capable of intercepting Kinzhal, Iskander, and Zircon missiles.

Key features of the PAC-3:

▪️ destroys targets with a direct kinetic hit (hit-to-kill);
▪️ speed up to 6,170 km/h;
▪️ range up to 45 km, interception altitude up to 12 km;
▪️ active homing, which does not require constant target illumination;
▪️ a Patriot launcher equipped with PAC-3 can destroy up to 16 targets without reloading.

Strengthening air defense remains a key task of Ukraine’s War Plan. The goal is to detect 100% of threats and intercept at least 95% of missiles and drones, the ministry added.
