Trump tells G7 leaders Iran is “on the verge of surrender” — Axios

During a video call with G7 leaders, U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran is close to capitulating and claimed the country may lack officials capable of formally announcing it.

“Nobody knows who is leading, so there is no one to announce surrender,” Trump said.

He also described the outcome of the U.S. operation against Iran as having “eliminated a cancer that was threatening us all.”

However, Iran’s new leader Mojtaba Khamenei later vowed to continue the war.
