Two people have been injured in a shooting at Virginia’s Old Dominion University that left the gunman dead after a swift police response, according to the school.

The gunman opened fire in the technology building at the public research college in Norfolk.

It is important to develop the energy network between our countries, which will help Ukraine amid shortages caused by ongoing Russian attacks on our energy infrastructure, and also support Romania when we have a surplus and can export electricity. Therefore, cooperation in the energy sector was also a key topic of our discussion.

Particular attention was given to expanding border crossing points between Ukraine and Romania. We also discussed work on an intergovernmental agreement on joint oversight at the Ukraine–Romania border crossings.

🇪🇺🇺🇦 The European Commission has offered Ukraine a mission to inspect the Druzhba pipeline, while there is no information about a Hungarian delegation in Brussels.

“We are conducting intensive discussions and contacts with Ukraine on this issue, as has been the case for several weeks, as well as with the member states that are most concerned (Hungary and Slovakia). I can report that we have offered a mission to Ukraine to inspect the pipeline. I have no information about the Hungarian delegation,” said EC energy spokesperson Anna-Kaisa Itkonen.

She added that the European Commission is currently waiting for a response and remains in contact with Ukrainian authorities and other member states.
