Ukraine has become the first country to open real battlefield data for training AI models for drone and combat systems, the Cabinet of Ministers announced. A dedicated AI platform at the Defense Ministry's Center for Innovation allows partners to train models without direct access to sensitive databases, using millions of annotated frames from tens of thousands of combat flights.

The data is already used to train neural networks that automatically detect ground and air targets in the DELTA system. "Partners get the opportunity to train their AI models on real data from modern warfare. Ukraine gets faster development of autonomous systems and new technological solutions for the front," Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said.

According to the complaint, the engineer said he had the data on a thumb drive and wanted help transferring it to his personal computer so he could “sanitize” it before using it at his new company.

The whistleblower also claims the engineer believed he might receive a presidential pardon if the action was illegal.

US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker said there are no publicly available indications that Russia is participating in the current conflict alongside Iran. Steve Witkoff said Russians told him directly they are not involved, Whitaker added. "Even if that's the case, it's certainly not helping them, because the Iranians are getting their asses kicked," Whitaker said.
