➡️ With the votes of Alexandre de Moraes, Flávio Dino, and Cristiano Zanin (two of them appointed by Lula), a majority was formed in the STF to keep the former president imprisoned. The trial, which is taking place in the virtual plenary, is now only awaiting the vote of Justice Cármen Lúcia to be concluded.

📝 Bolsonaro’s lawyers told the Supreme Court that he suffers from serious illnesses and therefore should serve his sentence under house arrest. However, Moraes emphasized that a Federal Police report does not indicate the need for hospitalization, despite the complex clinical condition.

The device also stores the contact information of former justice Ricardo Lewandowski and his son, Henrique.

➡️ The cellphone also contains contacts of justices from the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), such as Benedito Gonçalves, as well as business leaders. The number of the President of the Central Bank (BC), Gabriel Galípolo, also appears on the list. The device further includes the phone number of the Central Bank’s suspended director of supervision, Paulo Sérgio Neves, who was targeted in Wednesday’s operation, the 5th.

🇧🇷🇧🇷📝😎 — Attorney General Paulo Gonet sent an opinion to the Supreme Federal Court (STF) in which he advocates for the dismissal of the inquiry that was investigating the alleged misappropriation of jewelry received by Jair Bolsonaro during his term in office.

➡️ In the 16-page document submitted to Justice Alexandre de Moraes, Gonet notes that there is no regulation, by means of a formal law, regarding the destination or ownership of gifts received by the President of the Republic from foreign authorities.

➡️ The prosecutor emphasizes that legal certainty requires a clear law to define whether such items belong to the Union or to the private collection of the officeholder — something that Brazil’s non-criminal legal framework has not yet established.

❗️ It is important to recall that this case was central to opening what became known as a “fishing expedition,” which later unfolded into subsequent investigations that resulted in the imprisonment of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his allies.
