Военные США задержали в Индийском океане танкер, возможно, с иранской нефтью
"Прошлой ночью силы США в зоне ответственности INDOPACOM (Индо-Тихоокеанское командование вооруженных сил США) без инцидентов провели досмотр, морскую интердикцию и высадку на борт судна Veronica III", - говорится в сообщении Пентагона в соцсети Х.
В сообщении отмечается, что "судно попыталось нарушить карантин, объявленный президентом Трампом, рассчитывало ускользнуть".
По данным западных СМИ, речь идет о небольшом танкере, части "теневого флота", который фигурировал в расследованиях о нелегальной перевозке нефти из Ирана.

على هامش أعمال مؤتمر ميونيخ للأمن، عقد القائد العام لقواتنا، قوات سوريا الديمقراطية، لقاءً مع وزير الخارجية الألماني يوهان فاديفول، جرى خلاله بحث تطورات الأوضاع في سوريا وسبل دعم الاستقرار وتعزيز الجهود المشتركة في مكافحة الإرهاب.
وأعرب القائد العام عن شكره لألمانيا على إتاحة الفرصة لحضور المؤتمر، مثمّناً دعمها المستمر في الحرب ضد تنظيم داعش، ومؤكداً أهمية استمرار الدعم الدولي لضمان تنفيذ اتفاقية ٢٩ كانون الثاني ومتابعته بما يسهم في تثبيت الاستقرار.
من جانبه، أشاد وزير الخارجية الألماني بالدور الذي قامت به قوات سوريا الديمقراطية في مكافحة داعش، وعبّر عن تقديره للاتفاق الذي تم التوصل إليه، مؤكداً أن بلاده ستبذل ما بوسعها لدعم هذا الاتفاق ومواكبة تنفيذه بما يخدم استقرار سوريا.

Every time we say this, people, you know, they go crazy. They think, oh, that means you're going to abandon NATO, you're going to abandon your allies.
I think the point we're making is that the stronger our allies are, the stronger we are collectively.

Задержание было проведено путём беспарашютного десантирования на палубу военнослужащих спецподразделения NSW.
Veronica II, как и задержанный ранее танкер Aquila II покинул Венесуэлу в составе крупной группы танкеров 3 января с грузом 1,9 млн баррелей сырой нефти и мазута. Судно, действуя под фальшивым названием DS Sector, было задействовано в перевозке венесуэльской, российской и иранской нефти.

🇪🇺 EU leaders are not yet ready to name a specific date for Ukraine’s accession, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs said at the Munich Security Conference, Suspilne reports.
He noted that there is currently no consensus among EU leaders on setting a clear timeline for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union.
At the same time, Rinkēvičs stressed that Latvia supports Ukraine’s accession as soon as possible. According to him, the timing is also linked to potential agreements on ending the war started by Russia.
“When I spoke with many EU heads of state and government, I felt that at the moment there is no readiness to name a date. From our point of view, we want Ukraine to become part of the EU as soon as possible,” the Latvian president said.
He noted that there is currently no consensus among EU leaders on setting a clear timeline for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union.
At the same time, Rinkēvičs stressed that Latvia supports Ukraine’s accession as soon as possible. According to him, the timing is also linked to potential agreements on ending the war started by Russia.
