"An der Ostflanke sollten wir in der Lage sein, militärisch, soweit es geht, rein europäisch zu agieren", ergänzt der Gründer, dessen Firma unter anderem "lauernde Munition" herstellt, sogenannte Kamikazedrohnen. Um das Ziel zu erreichen, so Scherf, müsse die Politik ab sofort mehr Rüstungsgüter in Europa bestellen und an den strengen EU-Vergaberegeln "schnellstens etwas ändern". "Absurderweise ist es oft einfacher, ein US-Produkt zu kaufen als ein europäisches", so Scherf, der unter CDU-Verteidigungsministerin Ursula von der Leyen von 2014 bis 2016 als Sonderberater für eine effizientere Beschaffung im Wehrressort tätig war. Für ihre Erstausstattung mit Kamikazedrohnen will die Bundeswehr unter anderem auf das aktuelle Helsing-Modell HX-2 zurückgreifen. Der Bundestag muss der Beschaffung noch zustimmen.

This morning, a city hospital in Zaporizhzhia was attacked with a drone. At night, 6 people were injured in a drone attack in Sumy region, including children. One person, unfortunately, died.
