Ukraine’s FP-9 ballistic missile developed by Fire Point could soon join the Armed Forces arsenal, chief constructor and co-founder Denis Shtilerman confirmed. The company says the missile has a range of about 800 to 850 km, a warhead up to 800 kg, and flight speed over 1,200 m/s. The missile is currently in final testing and codification phase.

29 января 2026 года на пресс-конференции Роберта Кочаряна один из журналистов спросил, как так получилось, что худшая ситуация в армии, запечатленная на памяти людей, совпадает с годами президентства Кочаряна. Журналист процитировал оценку спикера Национального собрания Алена Симоняна о ситуации в армии: нехватка продовольствия и воды, унижение солдат офицерами и т.д.
Роберт Кочарян был удивлен, что журналист воспринял слова Алена Симоняна всерьез, сделав выводы, потому что тот «говорит, что попало».
Эти слова Ален Симонян считает оскорбительными.
Председатель Национального собрания требует, чтобы текст извинений был опубликован на странице Роберта Кочаряна в социальной сети Facebook в доступном и видимом для всех виде в течение как минимум 5 рабочих дней или, если это невозможно, в печатном издании с тиражом не менее пяти тысяч экземпляров.

Russian media reported a murder attempt on Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev in Moscow. He was shot several times in the back and hospitalized, officials said. The attacker fled. Vietnam's trade surplus with the United States grew in January by nearly 30% year on year as exports climbed, while imports from China hit a new monthly high.
The surplus with Washington was $12 billion in January, nearly 30% higher than a year earlier, and only slightly lower than the $12.3 billion in December.
Imports from China reached a monthly record, climbing to $19 billion from $18.7 billion in December and $12 billion in January 2025.
Hanoi has been in talks for months with Washington over a possible trade agreement after the Trump administration imposed 20% tariffs on Vietnamese goods in August and threatened higher duties on goods made mostly from components that Vietnam imports from China.

Previously, Berlin and other capitals believed that Russia could threaten NATO’s eastern flank by 2029. Now, the consensus is growing that it could happen much sooner — before Europe can build up its own military power.
Dutch Defense Minister told WP that his department estimates that the Netherlands could deploy large numbers of troops within a year — and they are already increasing strategic reserves and expanding their presence along NATO’s borders.
The Baltic states are seen as obvious targets as Putin seeks to revive the Russian empire.
According to some European officials and experts, a new war could break out and an attack on Europe could happen without a peace deal with Ukraine — the Russian army could instantly release up to 200,000 battle-hardened soldiers, simply by switching from offensive operations to holding the front line.

Discounts on ESPO crude, which is shipped from the Pacific port of Kozmino, rose this week to nearly $9 per barrel over the benchmark Brent crude, Reuters reported, citing traders. In recent months, such discounts have been $7-8.
The discount on Urals crude, which was shipped from western Russian ports mainly to India but is now being partially redirected to China, has reached $12 per barrel. Brent is trading in the range of $65.8-69.8 per barrel this week.

If we use the NATO classification, which also includes, for example, construction projects, IT services and social security of military personnel, then last year the Russian treasury spent about 250 billion euros on military items instead of the declared 150 billion.
As a result, the military machine, according to BND estimates, ate up half of the Russian budget, or 10% of GDP.
In 2024, according to NATO classification, Russia's military spending reached 200 billion euros - 62 billion more than according to Russian budget standards.
In 2023, with official spending of 82 billion euros, the real amount was 136 billion, and in 2022 - 106 billion instead of 64 billion.
