Polen und die Ukraine wollen ihre Zusammenarbeit bei der Rüstungsproduktion verstärken. Eine entsprechende Absichtserklärung unterzeichneten der polnische Regierungschef Donald Tusk und der ukrainische Präsident Wolodymyr Selenskyj in Kiew. Auf der Plattform X schreibt Tusk, dies sei "mehr als nur die Vorstufe zur praktischen Zusammenarbeit". Er ergänzt: "Dies war seit vielen Monaten unser Ziel, und wir haben erhebliche Anstrengungen unternommen, um die Idee der gemeinsamen Waffen- und Munitionsproduktion zu verwirklichen." Wie die Nachrichtenagentur PAP unter Berufung auf Tusk ausführt, ist neben der gemeinsamen Produktion von Munition und verschiedener Militärausrüstung auch eine gemeinsame Entwicklung von Verteidigungstechnologien geplant. Die Produktion soll demnach an Betriebsstandorten sowohl in Polen als auch in der Ukraine erfolgen.
