After a series of meetings in Abu Dhabi between General Grinkevich, representatives of the US, Russia and Ukraine, the parties agreed to resume direct military contact at a high level, which will allow for stable communication between the armed forces of both countries.

The agreement provides for the restoration of a permanent format of military interaction aimed at discussing ways to achieve sustainable peace in Ukraine.

The decision marks a return to direct communication between Washington and Moscow after the dialogue was suspended back in 2021 — before the start of a full-scale war.

"I didn’t even believe I would return." - the emotions of Ukrainians released from captivity. According to Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, the oldest freed serviceman is 63 years old, the youngest is 23. Those released are in a difficult psychological condition, and some show critically low body weight.
