Philippine civil society leaders and members of a left-wing coalition filed impeachment complaints against Vice-President Sara Duterte on Feb 2, restarting a process that was sidelined by the country’s Supreme Court in 2025.

Both cases accuse Duterte of misusing public funds during her term as education secretary, while one revives allegations that she threatened to assassinate former ally President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The filings come on the same day that a committee in the House of Representatives was to begin hearings into impeachment complaints against Marcos, who is accused of corruption tied to a spiraling scandal over bogus flood control projects.

🇺🇸🇮🇱 Спецпредставитель президента США Стив Уиткофф 3 февраля прибудет в Израиль для встречи с премьер-министром Биньямином Нетаньяху и представителями министерства обороны, передает израильский сайт Ynet.

В переговорах также примет участие глава Генштаба израильской армии Эяль Замир.

Переговоры будут посвящены второму этапу соглашения о прекращении огня в Газе, а также вопросам, связанным с Ираном, которыми занимается Уиткофф.

В Благовещенске задержали 22-летнего подозреваемого по делу о недавнем похищении подростка в Красноярске

Задержанного подозревают в мошенничестве, совершенном группой лиц по предварительному сговору в особо крупном размере (ч.4 ст.159 УК).

По версии следствия, 21 января он, действуя по предварительному сговору с мошенниками и выполняя функцию курьера, прилетел из Сургута в Красноярск для передачи сообщникам денег, полученных от подростка еще одной фигуранткой дела. Рюкзак с деньгами он оставил на улице в указанном мошенниками месте.

Ночью 24 января подозреваемый уехал из города на такси и ждал дальнейших указаний кураторов.
