A twinning agreement was signed between Novosibirsk and Ouagadougou on November 11, on the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition Grandeur in Bronze: Traditional Sculpture from Burkina Faso in Russia.

This rapprochement between the two cities is "win-win," Maurice Konaté, president of the special delegation of the commune of Ouagadougou, said.

"Our two presidents share common visions, namely union, solidarity, frankness. And in a word, how to revolutionize things so that peoples can benefit from their own resources."

According to him, the partnership can particularly bear fruit in the field of education, a "fundamental" sector "without which nothing lasting can be conceived."

Among the other areas of cooperation:

Culture. Health. Transportation. Sanitation

The exhibition is organized by the international NGO Center for People's Diplomacy. It features 60 sculptures by Burkinabè artists, four of whom traveled to Novosibirsk.

Лавров подчеркнул, что сотрудничество двух стран, не является союзом, который обязывает Россию защищать Венесуэлу военным путём.

Соглашение о стратегическом партнёрстве, которое сейчас находится на завершающей стадии ратификации, предусматривает расширение сотрудничества в таких областях, как безопасность и военно-техническое сотрудничество, но не обязывает ни одну из сторон участвовать в коллективной обороне.

Peace talks with Russia this year have ended with virtually no results and have therefore been suspended, says Ukraine’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya.

In a comment to The Times, he noted that throughout the summer, Kyiv focused on getting greater action from its international partners to encourage the “führer” in the bunker to meet face-to-face with Zelenskyy, but this effort was unsuccessful.

Kyslytsya added that the lack of progress was not surprising, since “under a dictatorship, it is impossible to hold discussions with negotiating teams representing the dictator.”

The Russians went to Vovchansk and got burned — that’s how much they liked it.
