🇵🇱🇺🇦 Варшава отменила намеченные на 14 мая переговоры с Киевом по вопросам сельского хозяйства.
Причиной стали обвинения в отношении украинских переговорщиков в коррупционной деятельности, заявил замминистра сельского хозяйства Польши Михал Колодзейчак.
По его словам, «этот вопрос должен быть прояснён» со стороны Украины.
❗️ Речь идёт о недавнем скандале, связанным с обвинениями в коррупции, выдвинутыми в адрес украинского министра агрополитики Николая Сольского. Его подозревают в незаконном захвате государственной землей на сумму более $7 млн и попытке завладения другими земельными участками примерно на $4,8 млн.
🔻Ещё интересно, что Колодзейчак, сделавший себе политическую карьеру на ранних акциях фермеров против ввоза украинской продукции в Польшу, рассказал, что считает, будто «протестов со стороны настоящих аграриев уже давно не было».

The Lithuanian President links Putin's staff changes to his desire to continue the war of aggression against Ukraine.
“I don't believe in this regime so much that I don't believe in their motivation, their decisions. All of this is done for the domestic market, all of this is done to continue this war, and let's not harbor any illusions that Putin is ready for any peace talks,” Nausėda said.
He emphasized that there is no other way to stop Russian aggression than to provide effective and rapid assistance to Ukraine.

Das Gespräch fand sogar an Bonos Geburtstag statt, und er betonte, dass es sein größter Wunsch sei, dass die Ukraine frei bleibe. "Die Ukrainer sind wahre Helden. Sie stehen heute an der Spitze des Kampfes um die Freiheit für uns alle. Die Ukrainer haben einen unbezwingbaren Geist. Ein Geist, der nicht besiegt werden kann", sagte der U2-Frontmann. Bono und Gitarrist The Edge kamen im Mai 2022 auf Einladung von Wolodymyr Selenskyj nach Kiew, um ihre Solidarität mit dem ukrainischen Volk zu bekunden.

China firmly opposes the abuse of export control tools such as the US entity list, a foreign ministry spokesperson said, after the US added 37 Chinese firms to a trade restriction list over national security concerns.
China and Russia have the right to carry out normal economic and trade cooperation, and such cooperation should not be disturbed, spokesperson Lin Jian told a regular press conference.
He said the United States continues to politicize economic and trade issues and further increase tariffs, abusing the so-called 301 tariff review process, "which is adding insult to injury."

The fact that Raiffeisen Bank has been operating and thriving in Russia for the third year of the war illustrates that the West has not succeeded in significantly undermining the Russian economy. At the same time, the bank itself is trapped, — Financial Times.
The publication notes that over the past three years, the profit earned by the Russian division of the Austrian bank has exceeded all other operations of the Raiffeisen group.
Raiffeisen, in contrast to its rivals, has actually increased the proportion of profits the country contributes to its bottom line. According to estimates from Citigroup analysts, the bank will this year make a net profit from its units in Russia and close ally Belarus of nearly €1.2bn, compared with barely €500mn from all its other continuing operations: that is 69 percent of profits.
“This both looks bad and is bad. For a western bank to be thriving, there is a snub to western governments that have tried to shut down Russia’s global connectivity. It is also a very real help to the country’s economy, and thus its war machine,” the article states.
Raiffeisen is in a difficult spot. Even if it genuinely wants to exit the country, doing so is subject to the Kremlin vetting any buyer. In the meantime, restrictions imposed by the Russian regime mean the bank cannot repatriate profits from the country to its Austrian parent via dividends.
Although it has reduced its lending activity in the country, it has, like other foreign banks, become a channel for moving money out of Russia. Unlike sanctioned Russian banks, Raiffeisen remains part of the Swift network, which links banks around the world.
Now there is a strong reason for the West to deprive the Russian branch of Raiffeisen of access to Swift, and thus close a huge loophole in Russia's ties with the global economy. Thus, more than half of Raiffeisen's business depends on Putin, on the one hand, and Western politicians, on the other.
