DeFi is such a complex field, and there are so many things you can do with your tokens. And there are many tools specially designed for every user interaction.
Today’s glossary is on one of these tools: The Swap Machine.
In DeFi, swapping is a way of transferring assets. A token swap is a mechanism that helps users exchange their existing tokens for others. This is possible in decentralized finance due to the smart contract code, which enables token swapping. It’s an automated process safe from human error.
Nimbus Swap is one of the essential and highly used tools. Through it, users can trade major tokens like BNB or ETH for NBU or GNBU. Once the swap is complete, they can use the newly acquired tokens for the transactions they are planning in the Nimbus ecosystem.
How does it work? Let’s say you hold GNBU/NBU and want to exchange it into BNB/BUSD; all you need to do is go to the swap machine and swap them.

First, here’s a quick backstory on yield farming and NFTs:
Yield-generation NFTs were not the first thing to come to mind when non-fungible tokens were first launched.

When users supply the base asset i.e. BUSD/BNB, the smart contract splits the deposited into native tokens. These tokens are directed to two reward strategies, and a Smart Staker is minted 70% of the tokens are directed to Soft Staking, and the other 30% go to LP Staking on the Nimbus Platform.
This means Smart Staker holders receive 2 different rewards on a single base asset for as long as they hold their NFTs.

Nimbus’ Smart LP NFT is a pioneer in its true sense, the first NFT yield-generating NFT in DeFi.
How was it created?
Two main elements were essential in creating the Smart LP NFT:
⚗️ First, the amazing technology behind non-fungible tokens and blockchain in general. Despite its massive potential, this innovative tech’s usage was limited to jpegs and collectibles. We leverage the same tech to forge a new functionality that creates real value, even generating diversified rewards for its holders!

What did the team rely on when developing it?
So we took a concept we created in TradFi 20 years ago and brought it to DeFi. The 🧺 basket concept allowed us to batch orders to get lower fees and faster executions.
