5 Interesting facts about CZ, CEO of Binance
1. CZ` 's first real job was at McDonalds.
Since he didn't have any allowance growing up, he enjoyed the job because he could earn and spend his own money.
2. CZ didn't really know what he wanted to do at 18/19 years old. He first studied biology before turning to computer programming and science.
3. CZ worked in many different places, including Tokyo, NY, Singapore, and Shanghai.
When he tried to transfer money upon moving, he always encountered the same problems: it was complicated and the high fees were never worth it.
4. After discovering that the financial system doesnβt work well across borders, CZ came across Bitcoin in mid-2013.
He understood the concept quickly, as BTC solved the many problems CZ had already encountered.
5. He started Binance in 2017 with a team of about 20 people.
According to CZ, starting early isn't always an advantage. The most important is being able to pivot very quickly.

The Merge has been the hottest news and one of the most significant developments in the history of Ethereum.
In todayβs Nimbus glossary, weβll explain the Merge, what it represents and why itβs such an essential step forward for Ethereum and crypto.
The transition to PoS was necessary to solve the scalability issues: limited number of transactions that can be validated in a block and the fact that blocks must be mined constantly. What the Merge does is integrate the execution layer and the consensus layer.
After the Merge, blocks are no longer mined but minted by validators β nodes appointed to validate a candidate block and rewarded with transaction fee tips and staking rewards. Itβs a more sustainable method because nodes donβt compete with each other for adding blocks.
The Merge isnβt meant to reduce gas fees or make transactions faster. Nor should it mean changes for ETH holders. Itβs similar to a software upgrade and aims to make Ethereum more eco-friendly by reducing electricity consumption.
