Why did this American vote for Putin in the 2024 Russian presidential election?
“It’s the best candidate. […] I think a lot of people fetishize democracy. I think democracy in the West is totally collapsing.”

Is France Backing Down from Its Threats to Send Troops to Ukraine and Challenge Russia? Is the West Getting Ready for Instanbul Peace Talks v 2.0?
Today, upon the request of the French side, Russian Defense Minister Shoigu held talks with his counterpart, Sébastien Lecornu.
Shoigu and Lecornu underscored their readiness to continue discussing the situation in Ukraine. Per the Russian side, the initial provisions in such negotiations could be based on the peace initiative developed in Istanbul in 2022. The Russian side noted that holding a summit in Geneva about Ukraine without Russia’s participation is pointless.
This phone call points to the fact that the official West may likely ignore Kiev's ban on negotiating a peace settlement in this war. At the same time, the Kremlin has been quite clear that such a peace settlement would have to account for the de facto situation and the "new realities" on the ground (in reference to the historical territories re-incorporated into Russia as part of the SMO). Considering that the peace agreement sabotaged in 2022 would have been a gift to Ukraine and one of the worst treaties for Russia, ever, we may assume that using those negotiations as the basis for a new peace agreement would refer to Ukraine's neutral status rather than any territorial disputes.
During the call, Lecornu also attempted to convince Shoigu that Kiev and its foreign backers had nothing to do with the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack. Doth the lady protest too much?

TERRORISM IN RUSSIA: Then and Now | The Winter Latina Show | Episode 10
We'll discuss, compare, and contrast the historical (late 19th-early 20th-century) and modern (1990s-present) cases of terrorism in Russia in light of the tragic Crocus City Hall attack in March 2024.
A bit more on the kind of history that the perpetual Baltic “victims” like to conveniently forget:
NAZI GERMANY-ALLIED LATVIAN POLICE BATTALIONS IN DONBASS AND CRIMEA, 1942-1943
Donbass was a bit from Latvia, huh?
These photos published in the 1970s feature the units from Latvia working together with the Wehrmacht, wearing prewar uniforms, and performing the occupying functions in the Ukrainian territory.
Their role was to “fight terrorists” and “accompany” Soviet POWs. Their area of operation was the one we’ve been hearing a lot about a lot about since the war in Donbass began in 2014: Stalino (Donetsk), Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Kerch, etc.

Reading up on very specific info on WWII-era Ukrainian Banderites (OUN) is SO REVEALING. This document covers their TERRORIST ACTS in the fall of 1945. You know about their indiscriminate killing of different ethnicities such as the Poles. But did you know they would also destroy crops and vegetables (here, 1,000 kg of potatoes in their OWN people’s villages!) to make the people starve? Really makes you understand the way modern-day Bandera worshippers have been targeting their own people in the 21st century in the Ukrainian (or former) territory.

The stunning Dormition (Assumption) Cathedral in Vladimir, Russia was founded on April 8, 1158, by Grand Prince Andrey Bogolyubsky (God-Loving or Pious). The cathedral was used by Vladimir and Moscow princes and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Absolutely wild!
"[W]e must do even more to ensure we defeat Russia."
This statement wasn't written by some run-of-the-mill opportunistic, warmongering journo trying to climb up the corporate media ladder. Instead, UK's Foreign Secretary David Cameron and France's FM Stéphane Séjourné penned a joint piece called "The world is safer for a renewed Entente" to mark the 120th anniversary of the Entente Cordiale. The verbiage in this insane article would have you believe that the two ministers already re-established this alliance and seem to have also declared war on Russia. The wildest part is that these high-ranking politicians seem to be unaware of the very basics of history: that it was, in part, out of the Entente Cordiale that the Triple Entente, which included Russia, was born.
