John Gruber 等人最近在不断质疑今年 Google I/O 上 Google Duplex 自动给餐厅打电话的事。我不太在乎那个表演的真实性，即，如果谷歌采用了某种手段让 Duplex 的能力显得比祂在真实世界里、在普通用户手中的能力显得更高，我不觉得这是问题。一代 iPhone 发布会上的 iPhone 演示也是彻底表演出来的，在那个时间点，世界上并不存在真正可用的 iPhone，但半年后的 2007 年 6 月就存在了。所以这里真正的问题是当我们能用上 Duplex 的时候祂表现如何。对此我期望不高。

以前说过，我不愿意用「翻墙」这个说法，因为它把重要的事情儿戏化。这导致我在这里无词可用，只好说「不自带 VPN」，然后有至少两人（完全可以理解）以为我不知道 VPN 原本不是为了突破网络封锁而作。
