The President has approved a list of instructions following the March 25, 2025 meeting of the Council for Culture and Art

๐Ÿ”นIn particular, the President gave an instruction to establish cases of loss and destruction of cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia in the territories targeted by operations or shellings by Ukrainian military outfits, ensure the destruction of heritage sites is chronicled in archives and documents created for this purpose, and bring the relevant facts to the attention of the international community.

๐Ÿ”นThe Government, in cooperation with regional authorities, was instructed to take necessary steps to restore the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia damaged as a result of operations and shellings by Ukrainian military outfits.

๐Ÿ”นThe Government, in cooperation with the Union of Russian Museums, was instructed to draft and adopt a federal project on developing Russia's museums until 2030.

๐Ÿ”นAccording to the list of instructions, 20 percent of the funds allocated by the state for supporting cinema will be committed specifically to funding domestically produced animation. Furthermore, 10 percent of the box-office revenue of foreign-made animated films will be levied as fees to the Federal Fund for Economic and Social Support of the Russian Cinematography, to be used specifically for funding the production of Russian-made animated films.

๐Ÿ”นThe Government was also instructed to submit proposals for expanding the Pushkin Card programme to include circuses, since at the moment, the card cannot be used to acquire circus tickets. The issue of expanding the programme, in particular to include the new territories, was also raised during the March 25 meeting of the Council for Culture and Art.

๐Ÿ”นThe President supported several proposal put forward by members of the Council, including the one on changing its name to the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Culture, as well as the one on amending the name of the Presidential Prize for Writing and Art for Children and Young People, which will henceforth be known as the Presidential Prize for Cultural Works and Projects for Children and Young People. Vladimir Putin has instructed the Presidential Executive Office to prepare drafts of the relevant acts.

๐Ÿ”นFrom now on, individuals and entities eligible to apply for the prize will include not just the creators of works for children and young people, but also any parties that bring those works to a wide audience, be it publishers, exhibition organisers, or libraries.

๐Ÿ”นIn addition, the President gave an instruction to submit proposals on transferring the functions and powers to implement the state policy in the sphere of literary and publishing activities to the Culture Ministry.

The leaders are to discuss key issues pertaining to the bilateral cooperation in politics, as well as trade and economy, outline further steps aimed at strengthening the ties between the two countries, and exchange views on pressing international and regional matters.
