The President has approved a list of instructions following the plenary meeting of the Future Technologies Forum and a tour of its exhibition, as well as the February 21, 2025 meeting with scientists

The Government was in particular instructed to:

๐Ÿ”นensure an edition of the Future Technologies Forum dedicated to the establishment of bioeconomy in Russia and the use of biotechnology in various sectors is held in 2026, with appropriate preparations made;

๐Ÿ”นensure in cooperation with the Russian Science Foundation a yearly grant competition in memory of the scientist Yevgeny Velikhov is held;

๐Ÿ”นas part of fine-tuning the national projects aimed at ensuring Russia's leadership in technology, determine scientific institutions responsible for conducting research in consultation with the Russian Academy of Sciences and other concerned parties;

๐Ÿ”นtaking into account the instructions given previously, consider the creation of a national supercomputer centre.

Additionally, the Government was instructed to submit proposals for:

๐Ÿ”นcreating a supra-departmental mechanism for implementing the technology policy so as to coordinate steps made in the field of technological development at all stages of a product life cycle;

๐Ÿ”นtaking additional measures to promote in Russia a favorable market environment for domestic producers of industrial goods, aimed in particular at improving the efficiency of certification procedures and combating illegal import, production, and circulation of goods;

๐Ÿ”นexpanding the use of artificial intelligence-based technologies and computer modeling with a view to reduce the time it takes to develop and implement new materials;

๐Ÿ”นimproving the legal framework for the circulation of data on high-tech materials and their components, with account taken of the establishment of a single intersectoral digital database;

๐Ÿ”นcreating roboticised laboratories for conducting research using AI-based technologies, with results to be implemented in various industrial sectors;

๐Ÿ”นsupporting the establishment of pilot production infrastructure in research as well as higher education institutions;

๐Ÿ”นcreating an intersectoral additive manufacturing technology centre with a view to implement such technologies by industrial enterprises, in cooperation with the Russian Academy of Sciences, Rosatom State Corporation, and the Kurchatov Institute.

๐Ÿ”นThe presidents discussed issues pertaining to the further development of bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and economy, as well as investment.

๐Ÿ”นIn view of the willingness to contribute in the search for ways to peacefully resolve the Ukraine crisis displayed by the South African side, Vladimir Putin outlined Russia's principled stance regarding the necessity to eliminate the root causes behind the conflict and ensure Russia's security interests are respected.

๐Ÿ”นThe President of Russia extended his best wishes to Cyril Ramaphosa and the entire South African people for the upcoming Freedom Day, the national day of South Africa celebrated on April 27.

๐Ÿ”นThe leaders resolved to maintain contact at various levels.
