Vladimir Putin expressed support for the idea of establishing a national interdepartmental research and methodology centre for the international promotion of the Russian language under the auspices of one of Russia's universities

The proposal was made by Rector of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute Nikita Gusev.

Vladimir Putin is holding a meeting of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects

The discussion will focus on the new national projects launched and their first outcomes.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will deliver the main report. First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov will detail the progress in implementing the national projects for the development of Russia's space exploration and providing technology for bioeconomy. In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev will report on the implementation of the Unmanned Aerial Systems national project.

🔹In Ufa, a new ten-storey surgery unit of the Bashkortostan Republic Cardiology Centre is now in operation.

🔹A state-of-the-art radiotherapy unit was put into service at the Voronezh Region Oncology Centre.

🔹The new Municipal Outpatient Clinic No.1, outfitted with the latest in diagnostic technology, is now accepting patients in Nalchik.

🔹The Municipal Outpatient Clinic No.12 of Lugansk opened after undergoing major repairs.

🔹In Donetsk, the Regional Vascular Health Centre of the Kalinin Republican Hospital was brought into operation after major repairs. In addition, a laboratory for administering clinical trials of medications as part of the state supervision system opened in the city.

On Russia Day, the President will present the National Awards and meet with participants in the Time of Heroes programme

Vladimir Putin will present the 2024 Russian Federation National Awards for achievements in science and technology, literature and the arts, and humanitarian activity, as well as Hero of Labour gold medals, which are awarded for outstanding labour achievements.

On the same day, Vladimir Putin will meet with participants in the Time of Heroes educational programme.
