Choose from up to 102 different attack shapes per note using the unique Note Head function, all with just a single fader. Two on-board convolution reverbs allow you to design the body of the instrument and the performance space itself. Each sample is mapped to a specific key on your keyboard and you can change the pitch easily to match your track.
The centre of the interface shows you the waveform of the sample you're triggering along with the sample name, so you can easily locate the .WAV file and drag and drop that into your project for further mangling if you'd rather. Also included are a number of standard controls such as Attack, Release, Filters, Delay and "Morph" which is essentially a gate that when enabled, will turn any sound into a stutter effect.
The library also has 80 custom created, unique convolution reverbs to choose from including Arena, Cathedral, Chainsaw, Granular etc. allowing you to design some truly unique sounds.

We have returned to the superb concert hall we employed for other Sonokinetic orchestral libraries and gathered a selection of some of the greatest (and most precise) players to perform for us. With three full orchestral sections at our disposal, we captured the full range of the instruments, allowing a wider palette of timbres within the Ostinato engine and playing up to 8 notes simultaneously. Although on the surface the interface looks the same as its sister libraries, Ostinato Noir has been completely rebuilt in the back-end to work more smoothly, allowing for multiple orchestral sections.
This library coexists alongside both our Orchestral Series and our Phrase-Based libraries, being recorded in the same hall, with identical mic positions and even utilising some of the same players. Our orchestral libraries blend seamlessly together.

They are great fun to play around with, and the intuitive 'emphasis' slider dials in a mix between the recorded strings and woodwinds sections in one fluid motion.
Note the 'Modal' part of the name - these runs don't just play from major scales root notes - they can start and end on any note of the scale, making all modalities within the diatonic scale available. Additionally, when in Relative Keyboard mode, any note you press on the right hand side will be conformed to the nearest scale tone, making it really easy to play runs that adapt to changing chords in real time!
With this new inventive and holistic approach to editing and scripting, we kept the sample count and RAM footprint extremely low for this instrument without compromising on the realism of the end result.

Описание: The sounds of ticking clocks and watches have always been associated with suspense, drama and edge-of-the-seat movie moments. In typical Sonokinetic fashion we couldn’t let this cinematic trend pass us by without jumping in with both feet and sampling an exhaustive collection of pocket watches, wristwatches and small clocks. The extremely quiet sounds that these mechanisms produce had us using all the tricks in our recording book to capture clean and precise samples without extraneous noise. After much experimentation we think that we’ve managed to capture intimately nuanced watch sounds without sacrificing any of the character of these unique timepieces.
Of course, we couldn’t resist presenting these samples in a fun and functional interface. It has a special steampunk twist with multiple cogs and gears that can be clicked to access deeper parameters of the performance. Within the GUI it’s easy to combine sounds, add effects and trigger exactly the rhythmic patterns that you want to play.

Описание: The sounds of ticking clocks and watches have always been associated with suspense, drama and edge-of-the-seat movie moments. In typical Sonokinetic fashion we couldn’t let this cinematic trend pass us by without jumping in with both feet and sampling an exhaustive collection of pocket watches, wristwatches and small clocks. The extremely quiet sounds that these mechanisms produce had us using all the tricks in our recording book to capture clean and precise samples without extraneous noise. After much experimentation we think that we’ve managed to capture intimately nuanced watch sounds without sacrificing any of the character of these unique timepieces.
Of course, we couldn’t resist presenting these samples in a fun and functional interface. It has a special steampunk twist with multiple cogs and gears that can be clicked to access deeper parameters of the performance. Within the GUI it’s easy to combine sounds, add effects and trigger exactly the rhythmic patterns that you want to play.

Our strings, brass, woodwind and percussion players wrung everything out of their instruments. After they were done we wrapped the performances in a brand new Kontakt engine to ensure maximum flexibility and playability from the hundreds of phrases on offer. For the first time ever with a Sonokinetic library you can trigger up to 48 phrases simultaneously (from the hundreds available), all tempo synced and with multiple microphone options. Many mastering engineers, including MAAT founder Friedemann Tischmeyer, were fans of Algorithmix’s legendary original Linear Phase PEQ Orange. Unfortunately, the Algorithmix EQs were available only as 32 bit VSTs for PC and our workstations and our industry has evolved since then. Tischmeyer’s students repeatedly asked for alternatives, which caused him to scan the market for other high class EQs. Colleague Bob Katz recommended EQuilibrium, an insanely versatile tool, which Tischmeyer used for teaching. However, he could not find a satisfying alternative which would take the place of his original PEQ Orange.
The idea was born to reissue this masterpiece and make it available as 64 bit in all common formats and for macOS. An agreement with Algorithmix was made, and MAAT started up in mid–2017. Algorithmix fans heard of that and reached out to us, saying “…just redo it as it is; no extras, no nothing. We just want to have it back in 64 bit and for Mac.” That was encouraging. As a power user, Tischmeyer had some other ideas in mind regarding the UI. He wanted to make it more flexible and faster to use because there is no other tool in the mastering chain an engineer spends so much setup time with. The result? “I think we have achieved that. The UI allows super fast setup and has a number of unique features which help to do so: The positive & negative Contribution function including absolute difference, the adjustable sonogram which makes detecting energy spots you want to clean up easy, and the possibility to play a note on the piano you have in your head and just push the respective frequency to the active band section with one right click are just a few of the new features. What I like too is that I have an overview of all Sections as opposed to just one Section at a time.” In order to not end up with a strange Section order when using many filters, we also added the SORT button so your Sections are always in ascending order.
