Digital platforms are an effective way of securing off-season stays according to 79% of Indian hoteliers surveyed in the 2025 India Accommodation Barometer. Indeed, for every Indian accommodation provider that does not find such platforms helpful, there are 16 who trust their ability to mitigate seasonal fluctuations. Traditional travel agents were also seen as effective by 72% of accommodations, as were partnerships with wedding and event planners (67%). Paid search ads round out the top-rated strategies, with 66% of hoteliers viewing them as effective.Other methods seen as effective include organic reach via social media channels (55%), partnerships with destination marketing organizations (49%), paid social media ads (48%), and direct corporate tie-ups and loyalty programs (47%). By comparison, more traditional promotional methods such as email campaigns (33%) and advertisements in traditional media (26%) are considered effective by fewer accommodations, and respondents were more likely to find them unhelpful than any other method surveyed.The 2025 India Accommodation Barometer is the third study of hoteliers from across India, conducted by Statista in collaboration with Booking.com.
