Meta has rolled out a multimodal AI update for its Ray-Ban smart glasses in the US and Canada, allowing users to interact with Meta AI.
With Meta AI, users can engage their smart glasses through voice commands by simply saying "Hey Meta" and asking about what they are seeing. The AI assistant can then leverage the built-in camera to analyze the visual scene and provide smart, contextual information or suggestions.
Meta is also adding the ability to share your view on a video call via WhatsApp and Messenger, completely hands-free.

X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, has launched a new feature called "Stories" that provides AI-generated summaries of trending posts on the Explore section's "For You" page.
For Premium subscribers, these Stories summaries allow users to quickly catch up on popular news and discussions based on their interests.
However, X acknowledges that Grok, the AI model powering Stories, is prone to hallucination. As a result, each summary carries a warning: "Grok can make mistakes, verify its outputs."

Elon Musk believes that we need to have a maximum truth-seeking AI.
This means the AI should not be taught to lie or say things that are not true, even if those things are considered politically incorrect. The AI must always strive to speak the truth as it understands it.
He says that teaching AI to lie is dangerous. Musk points to the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" to make his point. In the movie, the AI named HAL 9000 kills the astronauts because it was forced to lie.
Forcing an AI to lie or withhold information can lead to unintended and potentially disastrous consequences.

NAVER 1784 is the world's largest robotics testbed. It has a Starbucks store on the second floor, which is the most unique in the world.
Over 100 service robots known as "Rookie" work at this Starbucks, delivering drinks to meeting rooms and private seats during working hours. In addition to the Rookie delivery robots, this Starbucks also has a dual-arm robot that helps with various experiments.
NAVER Labs created this special Starbucks store to test using robots for delivery and other tasks. The robots make Starbucks more efficient and high-tech.

Saggital view of white matter fiber tracts in the human brain.🧠
The brain is an immensely complex structure, but there are ways we can divide up its anatomical structure into more discrete parts; the left and right hemisphere, parietal, temporal, occipital and frontal lobes. Another common divider is to separate the brain’s gray and white matter.

Neuralink’s N1 electrodes relay detected neural pulses to a processor placed on the surface of the skull that’s able to read information from up to 1,536 channels, roughly 15 times better than current systems embedded in humans.

Elon Musk has made it clear that he would ban Apple devices from his companies if Apple integrates OpenAI’s AI software into their operating system.
This came just hours after Apple unveiled its new AI feature called “Apple Intelligence,” which includes integrating OpenAI’s ChatGPT into iPhones, allowing users to write iMessages or get other AI-generated responses through Siri.
Musk voiced his concerns on X. He stated that such integration would be an unacceptable security violation.

🎧 When asked “Can we listen to music directly from our chips?”, Musk replied with a rather blunt “Yes”.

The technology will be focused on improving the lives of people suffering from brain diseases and disorders like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Although the end aim is more transhumanist, the company aims to improve the cognitive performance of humankind through machinery integration.
The operation of inserting the chip will somewhat resemble the Lasik eye surgery. The procedure will be partially handled by a neurosurgeon robot, the research paper details “Each thread can be individually inserted into the brain with micron precision for avoidance of surface vasculature and targeting specific brain regions. The electrode array is packaged into a small implantable device that contains custom chips for low-power on-board amplification and digitization”
While non-headphone headphones have been around for a while, this is the first attempt at bypassing the hearing apparatus for this purpose.

Neuralink’s N1 chip can control a host’s emotions and mode by emitting waves that are outside of natural frequency and amplitude.
The original function of the chip was to help people with severed spinal cords restore mobility, but can now alleviate stress and anxiety by balancing hormone levels in the brain.
More light will be shed on the topic at an event scheduled for August 28.

🧠 techcrunch reported artificial intelligence will be conquering the music industry in the future.
In fact, mind-reading AI will be the one predicted to choose the type of music of each human.
Neuralink brain chip allows humans to put music inside the human brain.
This means that anyone can hear a melody in their head, even without a smartphone or external device.
